About the Committee

The SC/ST Committee of A.P.S. Degree College has been constituted in accordance with the UGC and Government of India guidelines to ensure the welfare of Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) students and staff members. The committee provides a platform to address academic, non-academic, and social concerns and ensures equal opportunities for education and professional growth.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Safeguard the rights of SC/ST students and staff within the institution.
  • Ensure the implementation of Government policies and UGC regulations related to SC/ST welfare.
  • Address academic and non-academic grievances of SC/ST community members.
  • Provide guidance and counseling for academic and career development.
  • Maintain a discrimination-free and inclusive environment on campus.
  • Forward unresolved grievances to higher authorities or concerned bodies when required.

How to Raise a Concern?

Any SC/ST student or staff facing discrimination, harassment, or denial of rights can approach the Committee. Complaints can be made verbally, in writing, or via email. The committee ensures strict confidentiality and a time-bound resolution process.
